Writing Coaching

A writing coach guides you with suggestions while you write. As a writing coach, I can help when or if:

You are in the middle of writing something and become stuck, or suffer from that huge and dreadful monster, writer's block.
Or you may have a great idea but you do not know how to go about organizing all the information you have.
Or you just do not know how to get started. The blank screen or page has paralyzed you and you stare at it with your mouth open.
Or you have a manuscript that is 1000 pages long and it occurs to you that the length may scare people away from reading it. You know you need to cut it down, but you cannot bear to throw away any of your beautiful words.
Or you have written something and suddenly you fear it is the biggest piece of trash anyone has ever written and you are tempted to throw it all away.

A writing coach suggests ways to move through these challenges. As a coach, I don't do the writing or editing for you, but give you ideas on how to do these things for yourself.

Writing coaching is usually via the phone, supplemented by email. How much time we spend is individually determined.

Writing can be very lonely. A coach reminds you that the rest of the world is still there.
