		<description>I agree with you!  The reader&#039;s perspective must be considered, especially if the written material is intended to bridge the gap between generations.  One generation&#039;s &quot;cool&quot; is another generation&#039;s &quot;hot&quot;.  One gentleman I worked with on his memoirs came from a deeply religious background shared by only part of his family.  His story was liberally sprinkled with religious terms that would mean nothing to someone who didn&#039;t share the same background.  By adding footnotes to explain some of his language, we made sure that future generations would be able to relate to his story.</description>

		<description>You&#039;re right, Kim. Writing is communication, and little is gained by being oblique or opaque. If you have a story that needs to be told, why wouldn&#039;t you tell it in a way that your audience will enjoy and appreciate?</description>
